Opening Procedures

Topic Progress:

It is important to start the day off right.  Elite Golf wants every employee to be prepared for guests when the doors open for business.  The doors will open for business at the time required by management, so be ready and be on time.  Creating a strong opening can lead to a more organized day.

Pre Club House

  • Open the front gate to the facility (if applicable).
  • The parking lot should be scanned for trash and debris and cleaned if necessary. The parking lot should be clean before guests arrive.
  • Entrances to the clubhouse should be checked for trash, debris, and anything that might send the wrong message to our guests.

Opening The Club House

  • Turn off the alarm to the facility (if applicable) and unlock all exterior doors to the facility as well as the cart storage facility, and turn on all lights.
  • Make a quick walk through of the facility to check for trash and debris that can be taken care of before guests arrive.
  • Bathrooms should be checked for supplies and cleanliness.
  • Merchandise displays should be checked for cleanliness and tidiness. Fold, hang, and fill displays throughout the shop for a clean opening.

  • Print off tee sheets if they have not been printed already: 1 for the golf shop, 1 for player’s services, and 1 for the starters.
  • Check in all group/event/broker/bill back billing that can be done ahead of time. The tee sheet and register should reflect the check in process.
  • All skill prizes for groups/tournaments should be prepared and put out for the day’s play.
  • Inform Player’s Services about the daily information form for starting purposes. Include the starters name on the daily information form.
